1. Physical Health:
We all have a physical vehicle that gets us from place to place, helps us communicate with our loved ones and helps us solve the problem of living in this physical universe. It's important that we take care of our body; get lots of sleep, excersize, eat at least 2 meals per day, drink lots of water, take vitamins, spend time with loved ones, have a means of supporting oneself and a healthy mental outlook on life. As marketers we need to be healthy in order to provide marketing service solutions.
2. Financial Resources/Wealth:
In goal setting, it is important to know where you have been in order to know where you are going. What skills do you have that can be used to generate new and lasting income for yourself and your family? What financial marketing tools will you be using to generate that income?
3. Environment:
In order to be truly productive we need to spend time in an environment that is conducive to thinking and working. Setup your computer work space so that you are able to concentrate on your plans and goals without interuption. Place goal setting information in a place where you can see it daily. Sometimes we lose our focus but a visual reminder can help us focus in on what we want to be thinking about. Setup a few hours each day to focus on your goals. What is the marketing environment like today? To sell your product competively you must understand your product's swot (strengths, weaknesses, opportunites and threats).
4. Mental Focus:
What are you willing to give up in terms of time in order to get a new mental tool. What field of knowledge are you interested in. If you are unsure of where your interest lies, what new class will you take or what new book will you pick up to explore new possibilities? What marketing communication will you provide to your clients so that they better understand how to use your services and products?Will you focus on the U.S. market or expand into international markets?
5. Creating Your Plan of Action:
Set a few minutes aside each day to create your plan of action. List out the steps of your major goals and then underneith the major goals list out the minor steps it takes to reach your goals. Use visual diagrams, create lists, write down your goals and then set up timeframes when you wish to have the goals accomplished. Don't expect every goal you set to be met within a certain timeframe. It's best to be flexible, try different paths to get to the same outcome. We all have circumstances that help us or heed our progress. One of the major goals in your plan of action is "determination to succeed". Another goal is to have a "backup plan" in case one of your goals is momentarily side-tracked. How will you setup your marketing and planning guide this year? Will you be using only the written word or will you be using audio and multimedia vehicles to market and promote your product?
6. Follow-Through
Don't give up, follow-through. Every step leads you closer to your goal. Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. "There is no time like the present" to follow-through on your plans towards your marketing success goals.

Creating your short and long-term goals will provide you with a roadmap to success. Keep these tips in mind when creating your goals.
1. Visualize your goal and success of the long-term ultimate goals – plant it firmly in your mind as you begin creation of the actions required.
2. Evaluate and consider your resources, skills, and abilities. Determine where there may be a lack of ability or skills and determine how to compensate for this deficit.
3. Make sure the actions are clear and concise. Break them down into smaller steps for greater success.
4. Use positive words in your actions and steps. Positive-thinking has a powerful impact on our ability to succeed. A “self-fulfilling” prophecy, which means we become what we think we can become, is important to remember when creating a goal setting worksheet.
5. Use affirmative words in action plans. Don’t say “I think I will complete the research by March 15”, or “I want to…..”. Instead, use affirmative statements such as “Complete the market research on potential niche products by March 15.”
6. Create relevant actions that will help you achieve your goals.
7. Monitor your actions and deliverables frequently.
8. Create ticklers or calendar alerts to remind you of pending due dates. Don’t wait until the action is due to evaluate progress.
9. Set reminders on your calendar or email to remind you to accomplish certain actions or steps along the way. It’s impossible to keep track of everything in your head and this can sabotage your efforts if you don’t have an organized plan to manage actions towards goals.
10. Plan the necessary steps towards your ultimate goals and monitor them frequently!
Creating a goal setting worksheet is a tremendous asset to you in your professional goal setting strategy and creating your online or offline business. It gives you the tools, steps, and actions needed to succeed. Once you have a clearly defined goal setting worksheet with achievable, challenging action steps, you’ll be on your way to entrepreneurial success!

You can’t expect to hit a target if you don’t have a target in the first place. You must set goals in order to effectively achieve anything. Preferably, your goals should be written down.
When framing your goals, there are five basic things to consider, as we learned in grade school, called the “5 W”s. The first to ask your self is the “what” question. “What is my goal in this situation?” and “What do I hope to gain from this goal?” for example.
The second question is the “why” question. “Why am I interested in accomplishing this goal?”
The third is the “when” question, as in, “when do you plan to meet this goal?”
You may need to ask “Who will I need to get help from?” This is a motivating question to get you to think about planning your goal. And the last of the five is the “where” question. The where question can be “Where am at right now in relation to accomplishing my goal?” But there is another important question to ask yourself in addition to aforementioned.
Once you have answer the 5W’s, the next important question in goal planning is: how. How are you going to accomplish your goal? This is where the real planning of your goal begins to shape.
Setting goals and telling your subconscious mind what you want to change does not involve magical incantations; there’s not just one right way to do it, but there are some pitfalls to avoid:
1. Avoid vague wording - One characteristic of the subconscious mind that can really be irritating is the way it takes everything so literally. That sounds Ok – maybe even obvious – until you take a look at how sloppy our language really is.
2. Be positive. Always try to use positive wording for your goals. This can be difficult, especially in those situations where you are trying to quit or get rid of something. If you absolutely have to use a negatively formulated goal, go ahead, but try for the positive approach first.
3. Use "I". In your goals, address yourself as "I," not "you". Say "I will . . ." Your aims are a conversation with yourself, your own subconscious mind. It is part of you.
4. Be visual. Your subconscious mind understands pictures more readily than words, but you have to communicate with it through words, to some extent. Therefore, the trick in getting your subconscious mind to understand what changes you are trying to affect is to build pictures. Make them as vivid and clear as possible with lots of description.
5. Make it Personal. Use language and images which reflect your own experience. We all have our own memories and experiences of the world, and speak to ourselves in our own language. Express your goals in your own words and use images you are familiar with.
Get the language right on your goal planning and you will be fired up with enthusiasm with a clear idea on how to achieve your goals.
